Germ Bomb: Sound of horns
05/11/13 || gk
This is a strange one. Germ Bomb has been around for a while now and “Sound of horns” is the second album from this Swedish three-piece. The album starts with “Broken bones” and it’s an aggressive mix of thrash and hardcore but after that the album veers into speed metal and modern metal chug to make for a distracting and unconvincing listen. I’m not sure where these guys are going and when they fire, they sound quite good but overall there’s a disjointed, schizophrenic feel to this album that prevents it from being anything more than a curiosity.
5,5/10: A few good songs do not an essential album make.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
